CPD Questionnaire Results
Thanks to all LISW Members who recently participated
in the CPD survey by returning completed questionnaires. Over 50
questionnaires were returned and the collated
results along with results collected from all the other branches
give a picture of the CPD aspirations of members across the country.
Very briefly, respondents reported that employers
are largely very supportive of CPD events, with many holding in-house
seminars. Sustainability and statutory requirements / new legislation
were ‘top of the pops’ of subject areas to brush up
on. Distance is the biggest barrier to attending events, with (not
surprisingly) the bigger towns and cities being the most popular
locations, i.e Portsmouth, Winchester, Bath, Bristol and Southampton.
We can now look forward to seeing what the
overall picture is and how this will shape the restructuring of
our CPD system. View
